Something that seems to get ignored in most analysis. America's core allies have a bigger combined economy than the United States itself, especially in purchasing power. To contain the rival block America need to keep its allies close and encourage them to enhance their own capabilities (which most are doing post Russian invasion of Ukraine). Europe and Japan in particular have been sleeping giants for too long. Europe has an economy roughly equal to China and Japan has an economy larger than Russia, Iran, and North Korea combined.

@pakjai5532Сағат бұрын
@ZontarDow China's ability to execute this strategy stems from its capacity to withstand the fallout better than the West. They can easily shift their business from Western countries to other partners, as there are over 160 countries available for trade. This will be a loss for the West, while the rest of the world stands to benefit. The West will simply have to source goods elsewhere, likely at much higher prices, and will also lose significant market share in China. The West relies heavily on China for essential materials like rare earth elements, cotton, steel, magnets, and batteries. This reliance will severely disrupt Western technology and defense companies, significantly impacting their profits. Many Western firms may face immense pressure, forcing them to shut down or relocate, leading to rising unemployment and resulting societal issues. So, how long can the West sustain this? China is known for its long-term strategies and can navigate these challenges effectively. This is not a problem the West can easily circumvent.

Neither is Judaism a ‘nationality,’ in the sense of modern nationalism, fit to be woven into the three folded-ness of ‘homeland, Army, and heroic songs.’ No, Judaism is Torah, ethics and exaltation of spirit. The Global South is all for a bipolar world because it gives them options and bargaining power for mutually beneficial and respectful relationship with Global Powers. Can't really say that the West has cared that much about the developing nations aspirations when it comes to economic cooperation. This is the reason why a counter balance to Western influence is very much welcomed. For decades the Soviet Union/Russia has cultivated a good relationships with developing countries in Asian and African regions even without Communism involved. That's a major reason why BRICS is gaining traction. Despite being an economic powerhouse China doesn't really have the same level of respect and trust that Russia has among Asian and African nations. You have to understand it from a context that in most Asian and African cultures, trust and mutual respect is highly regarded - sometimes even more than ones own interests. This cultural mindset is something that the Western governments have often failed to understand.

Very interesting video. I tend to call this alliance rather a "conglomerate". However, it would be nice to talk about Turkey. We all know Erdogan is playing a game between the two sides, and you never what may happen : what if Turkey joins the conglomerate, betraying Nato ? Of course, in the mid-long term, we all know that this conglomerate will fail, as they can't put aside their own disputes. But the question is whether they will fail before or after changing the face of the world ?

Excessive dependence on a single global-order hegemony is not good nor wise, for historically, the powerful entity has a tendency to subsequently abuse its privileges / power for selfish own gain and unwise behaviours. These unwise behaviours could be in the form of excessive consumptions, visible corruptions, government decisions based on popular choice instead of true painful wisdom, excessive individualism, supporting unnatural albeit new societal norms, etc. The longer the powerful entity (superpower) reigns, the higher the probability of abuse. For example, historically superpower empires who had long reached their golden age eventually used their military prowess & economic strength as weapons; such as through war, sanction, trade blockade or diplomatic pressure, to threaten other deemed uncooperative countries / countries with different cultural values than them so they would follow the superpower’s rules regardless if such imposed rules were benefitting (or truly serving the maximum interests) of the smaller countries or not. There is always a trade-off, nonetheless it is usually the geopolitical interest of the superpowers that prevails. As such, having a multi-polar point of views could have added benefit for numerous predominantly non-competing superpower countries, for such countries could now have greater political bargaining power and thus having their own interests better served.

@joythought2 сағат бұрын
They have already invaded and annexed parts of Moldova, Georgia, and Ukraine. They now claim the illegally annexed parts of each of those countries as Russian territory. And if you watch Russian TV they often talk about further intended invasions. The Kremlin now controls Belarus by propping up the dictator who runs that country. Given a proper chance the people of Belarus would have voted him out of office long ago and Rose up in an attempt to overthrow him which failed because of Russian soldiers coming in to crush protestors... It's even much more to all this but really that should be enough to get you started.

I love India's policy here to benefit from both groups. Buying Russian oil refining it then selling to Europe. It has maintained a perfect balance right from Nehru the principle of Non-Alignment and taking the best from both. I personally feel the end of western civilization is near and can continue maximum till 2075. The only thing it lacks is a global payment system if it succeeds in making it the days of sanction are truly over. Now also only 2 nations objected to removal of embargo against Cuba i.e Israel and it's proxy USA. A century of bullying others destabilizing their governments invading countries is coming to an end the earlier the better.
