Someone with control over that movie must have had ties to skateboarding. This song is in Jerry Hsu's "Bag of Suck" skateboard part, which is a hugely famous skate part for skaters who grew up in the 1990's and 2000's. And I looked at that movies soundtrack and they also have "I'm a cuckoo" from Belle and Sebastian, and that song was used as a crailtap (skateboarding company) KZbin intro for a long time. I'd bet my life that someone with influence on that movie grew up skateboarding.
