The "super dam" China plans to build on the Brahmaputra River is called the Yarlung Zangbo Dam and is located in Tibet, near the Indian border; this project is considered the world's largest dam on the Brahmaputra, raising concerns in India and Bangladesh due to potential impacts on water flow and regional stability.

While talking about the river flows at Passighat or other Indian towns, it will be nice if we could get to know the quantitative details than the mere fact that water levels were very high. I am sure our planners will be taking care of this. Dr. Sinha's part dwelling on the engineering aspects, the propensity of the area to earthquakes resulting from large water storage projects was quite interesting and factual.
