Yes we get to leave on the weekends and for Christmas they pay for you to go back home but you can leave if you pay for the other holidays.

so i watched your first video you was in the 4 bedroom , now your in a 2 bedroom how can you get the 2 bedrooom , can you pick or do they choose for you ?

At my center, you cannot choose your automatically put into a 4 bed. I'm in a 4 bed in both, I never had a 2 bed but the way our center did it was if you were a SRA, you get to get your own room. If you were a lgbTq+ living in our dorm also I think the guys didn't have a choice because their were so many of them at one point. Don't quote me on that though, I don't remember what they told me tbh. ( after Covid restrictions, 2 to a room was allowed)

Hey I’m sorry off topic question. When you did your job corps orientation did you have to tell them your social during the meeting, or do they wait until you arrive?

In addition to my other comment .... IT LOOKS WAAAAY DIFFERENT , than when i was there, there were only 4 dorms, when you drove up the road from the gate, there was a maintenance shop on the right, the gym was on the left , then the Chow hall (that had a classroom upstairs, BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION ), cross from that was dorm 1 and 2, 3 was in back of the gym. And the girls dorm was at the top of the hill.

No I already had my diploma.👆🏾Exactly. But still keep in mind since its self - paced, it's up to you in how long it's gunna take. So don't stress out if it takes longer than 8-12 months.

- Depending on you, whether you like to eat the cafe breakfast or w.e you decide. - Depends on what trade you’re in also Wakeup Typically : 6-7 am : trade starts at 8 am

I was there 20 Years ago, every wednesday they would do a "Major Dorm" which was when you would clean your Dorm rooms and everything had to be perfect or you couldnt go home for the weekend. You would fail.

Thought of this just now as I'm watching this .... do y'all ever go deep deep DEEP ... into the woods around there? I used to go here (Cassadaga) from 85 to 87, and went in back of the girls dorm with a group of people, and we came across a river, followed it down and came into a SUPER SUPER CHILL spot ,that had a pond in it. Anyway , my main question is do you or a group ever go exploring back up in them woods.

I've been a guthrie job corps student for five months now and cassadaga is where I'll be sent for advanced training, currently our center is the lowest ranking out of all the job corps centers in America. We're not allowed to decorate our dorm rooms lol. Your dorm looks clean and like its not going to fall apart compared to ours.

Yeah they're is alot of drama but it's so easy to stay out of drama. If you just keep your head straight and do what you gotta do you should be good. I mean I've been here for 9 months and it's been drama after drama but it doesn't affect me cause I don't let it. Any job corps you go to there's gunna be drama, cause we're all living together. But just protect ya peace and get your trade done then you won't have to worry
