If you pay attention, the takeaway from Niall's fun little skincare video is this: he's a REALLY good listener. This is someone who listens carefully to everything his facialist says and likely asks intelligent questions during the treatment or consultation. His skincare routine (and understanding of each careful and thoughtfully timed step) speaks volumes about his listening skills and is WAAAAAY better than most of the fashion and entertainment industry chicks' routines which I've seen on similar YT channels. I'm sure there are many people chortling at his video seeing absolutely nothing more than vanity and frivolity. He's a bloke and he's getting it more spot on than those girls neck-deep in the world of skincare, make up and fashion. Oh dear, what are their excuses I wonder?

I have sensitive skin so my nighttime routine is filled with all of my actives and a double cleanse. I started just using a good micellar water or a quick splash of water in the morning, toner (the elf pure skin oatmilk niacinamide toner is my current fave!), vitamin C serum and then a moisturizer/SPF. My current favorite SPF is the Paula's Choice Glow one! Great ingredients and perfect for my sensitive skin. I noticed that not cleansing in the morning really helped my skin a lot! Just that micellar or splash of water to do a light wash was enough and my skin hasn't been as dry and my redness has decreased a lot!

to me, skincare that is targeted toward men is a double-edged sword. yes it makes some comfortable to use them, but I have also seen many restrict themselves to the "men's section", and even more uncomfortable using products that are outside of that section, thinking that they all are "women's products"

Oh 100%. The exact same thing applies to fragrances. It's so sad to see how strong this conditioning and engineering of perception is due to marketing and culture. As an aside, Ambre Narguile is the most delicious fragrance on both men and women, especially in the autumn and winter months: sweet pipe tobacco and fresh-out-of-the-oven spiced apple pie. Divine.

I received the Element Eight O2 Squalane moisturizer from either Influenster or BzzAgent, can't fully remember. I don't think I'd ever pay $250 for a moisturizer, but It's an interesting product. The packaging is solid, it has no scent and they have some proprietary ingredients claims (hard to determine efficiency on those). I will say though it had a texture that was almost like placing oil into a moisturizer. I've never experienced anything quite like it, but as someone who often goes with a lighter moisturizer and a follow-up oil because I don't like the feel of a richer moisturizer I could appreciate the effect. Fortunately, I can still get a really good moisturizer and oil for way less than $250 but enjoyed the bottle while it lasted.

Funny story my daughter was playing in my car the other day (do not recommend but momma was tired) and she comes up to me and she had slathered her 2 year old baby face with the pucker power. Her skin was welting up I was freaking out because I thought it was the new daily dose lip tx and she was having a reaction but then realized what it was. Still scary but the reaction was way more understandable. It went down and her skin is fine but definitely a lesson learned!

The Sarah Chapman cleanser burnt my eyes so bad! It became super runny and went right into my eyes from my forehead😢. The Jaxson Lane SPF is wonderful! It doesn't have a white cast and is moisturizing but doesn't leave you oily.

For make up removal/first cleanse, try the 'Beauty of Joseon Cleansing Balm' or the 'Rosette Cleansing Balm' (the one with the green lid). For second cleanse/just regular face wash, try 'Acnes Mentholatum Facial Wash' (don't be put off by the worryingly astringent-sounding name-- it's a gentle gel formula that smells of sweet lemon soda. The Dr Sam Bunting gel cleanser is also EXCELLENT. Good luck!
