A great selection of books to put on your list to get to by the end of the year! Some of my hopefuls to get to is finishing the Mistborn series, tackling at least one more trilogy of the Shadowhunter series, and finally reading The Rise of Kyoshi. Hopefully we both can tackle are hopefuls by the end of the year. Happy reading!!
@cassandralynnreads12 сағат бұрын
hopefully we can! what shadowhunter trilogy were you thinking of picking up?
@Kittyzero1342612 сағат бұрын
@@cassandralynnreads Either The Dark Artifices or The Last Hours. I was thinking of picking up the second book in The Dark Artifices and then trying Chain of Gold to see which trilogy sparks my interest more.

Project Hail Mary was one of the best books I’ve read. 👾 The Lost Bookshop was very good, too.

I have 14 things on my TBR for 2025. Although, I counted a bunch of trilogies as one each and two duologies as one each and had 3 single standalones on the list. It’s the year I think I can finally finish my physical TBR and the year I’m going to use the library more(already completed 2 trilogies from the library and loved them). I just finished Furyborn by Claire Legrand, and plan to start the sequel later today. It’s also the year of really evaluating my shelves and finally getting rid of things I loved as a teenager but haven’t touched in years!

i did the shelf purging a couple years ago and the aftermath was so refreshing! i hope you get to all the reading you want to this year!!

So exciting to see Dungeon Crawler Carl on the list! I discovered the series last year and it is such a fun and wild ride. Highly highly recommend the audiobook by Sound Booth Theater for the full production experience

Love hearing about your TBR for this year Cass! My 2025 TBR: 1. Fearless (my most anticipated release 🤩) 2. Onyx storm 3. Six of Crows (I read the shadow and bone trilogy last year) 4. Sword of Kaigen 5. The prison healer 6. Strange the dreamer 7. Swordcatcher 8. The inadequate heir I would also like to try out brandon sanderson. I love long books! What do you recommend to start with? ❤
@cassandralynnreads12 сағат бұрын
all solid picks! Mistborn if you're looking for a series by him, Emperor's Soul if you want a novella to see if you'll like his writing, and Warbreaker if you want a fun, fast paced standalone!
@dewereldheerser11 сағат бұрын
@ thank you soo much! I think I will start with warbreaker and go from there ❤️

I have an ambitious TBR that focuses on a lot of series I want to start/complete including: The First Law trilogy, Kindred’s Curse saga, Stormlight Archives, Book of the Ancestor trilogy, and The Aurelian Cycle. There are lots of new releases I’m excited for, too: Onyx Storm, Rebel Witch, Battle Mountain (CJ Box), Sunrise on the Reaping, Atmosphere, and Katabasis. Hoping for a big year of reading in 2025!

happy reading! i hope we're both able to complete our TBRs! Is The First Law a good place to start with Joe Abercrombie?
@turkeyrunner71211 сағат бұрын
@@cassandralynnreads I think so! That’s where I’m starting with Abercrombie.

Nice selection! Be prepared for LotR; the writing in the trilogy is much denser than in "The Hobbit." I got through Fellowship the first time by making it my before bed read, and just read at least one chapter a day. But I still really enjoyed it! Some of my big ones for this year are to catch up on the Crowns of Nyaxia series by Carissa Broadbent, "Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell" by Susanna Clarke, "Heavenly Tyrant" by Xiran Jay Zhao (which is out and FINALLY on my shelves!), and to finish the "Murderbot Diaries" by Martha Wells.

i figured it would be, but i hope i still like it! katie is reading the murderbot diaries right now and i'm a little tempted to give it a go myself!

I read somewhere (I’m pretty sure on Ali Hazelwood’s website? Potentially?) that Deep End is her steamiest book yet. I felt the same way about Not in Love, so I’m hoping it’s better but we’ll see! 😰😅

I don't really make yearly tbr's because I'm really bad at getting to new releases in time and I like making fate (aka my tbr jar) decide for me but I'm currently reading the return of the king, I want to read the new fourth wing book and the hunger games one and more manga as well

If you do get to come to Ireland travel outside of Dublin too we have so much beautiful places. Also I know lots of tourists like to go to Temple Bar Pub go check it out if you want and take pictures but do not go inside it’s an absolute rip off
