Love this design. I used a serger with a 3 thread flatlock seam to put it together for the most part.

I love the idea of the bag with the embroidery in shades of blue but how did you decide on which embroidery part to do which shade of blue/white and to keep it all consistent throughout the whole design on each panel. Thank you.

It's just a matter of watching the screen and seeing what is happening where. I think we only used 12 thread colours on the bench cushion and only 6 or 7 on the tote shake up design.

Thank you for walking us thru this georgous bag. Did you use stiffening to give the lovely bag strength? And how do you attach the buttons? on the bottom.. please

Hi Leonie, I have used our bag stiffener as a batting substitute and faux leather - this is helping keep the structure. When attaching the bag feet is the same process as adding the magnetic clasp, find the position you want them in before attaching the lining, cut a very small hole and place bag foot into position.

Lovely bag! To embroider the bottom blocks panels, did you modify the original file to make them that size? Or did you embroider side panels and then cut them in half?

There was no need to alter the blocks, they all fitted.

Would you topstitch around the very top of the bag to keep the lining from riding up?

Yes, absolutely or you could under-stitch the top lining seam.
