When it comes to low flying, NOBODY beats the French in their Mirages, ive seen a lot of "low fly" videos by the US, UK, AUST etc...but the french just have it down to a pristine fine art. Love their work!!!

Best low pass video on KZbin, last compliment I'll give the French also. The low altitude formation shots are awesome. The in cockpit low altitude turn about 1:30, with a bank angle more than 90 was an adrenaline rush to watch. The squeezing between towering rocks, yeah baby.

@ Othaepia: I once discussed this very issue with a retired American aeronautic engineer. He told me that any US military pilot caught red-handed doing this extreme low passes would be immediately fired from the USAF. Therefore, how good your jet jockeys may be, they aren't exactly free to use their talents.

The flying skills, especially those through the rock formations was absolutely awesome. However, having sat in the front seat of a Tornado and Harrier, these mirage jets all have one thing in common which must be a drawback or at least a hinderance,- Namely, the view forward through the HUD and adjacent screens, appear to be very restrictive. What a buzz you must get from flying at this speed, this low......

Or a bird, which is a bit more likely 200 feet up! I once flew in an Australian Navy chopper, very low level above a beach, with birds scattering everywhere. On the intercom I asked the pilot "What happens if we hit one of those birds?". His calm response: "We die.". Military pilots rock.
