First time we’ve seen shrimp right off of our deck. Amazing experience! Never caught shrimp in a cast net before. Lots of fun and had some big enough to fry.

This is our little place on the bayou. We’ve been here for almost five years living in our camper. We have been adding on to our deck a little at a time to make a nice fishing area. I think there are rentals down the three parallel bayous of Chauvin, Dulac, and Montegut ; all in Louisiana below New Orleans. Check it out online. October through January months are nice in this area. Starting in February the bugs return; first the gnats, then the deer flies. Hope you get to visit. 😊
