My dad doesn't like musicals, at all. He thinks the bursting into song thing is unrealistic and a lot of the time the stories are ridiculous. His reaction to finding out Galavant was cancelled after we binge watched all of it was legit exactly the same as Woody finding out he'd been cancelled in Toy Story 2.

​@@MisterNym Its also how good chosen / prophecy plots work. You have a vague idea, but it can be really misleading or so vague the how is really fun to figure out. Subversions work the same. Hell richard got that early in the season but regardless did the growth on his own and friends. Not that sword. Thats where even subversions come from, from expecting . Like if the 4th terminator movie stuck to the original ending, it would have been , good. Despite knowing what has to happen.

Well the songs are from the same artist who wrote Aladdin, Little Mermaid, etc. There's a line at the end of season where Sidd goes "kiss the girl" as a reference. He's done a lot of musical episodes of other shows too. He's worth looking into.

Me too. It sneaks in there because it’s such a silly context but it’s such a powerful thing to say about life, right? Like you’ve got another day, another shot. Celebrate it! Give it your all! When I’m feeling down I like to go back and listen to this song and as silly as it is that line makes me tear up.

Joshua Sasse the guy who plays Galavant just did a pilot for The CW that was picked up for a full seasiin and Karen David who plays Isabella is now Princess Jasmine in Once Upon A Time.

I knew this show existed, but I couldn't find it anywhere back in Spain. Then I moved to the States and when I saw it on Hulu I had to try and watch it... and WOAH! Absolutely amazing, I binge-watched it and couldn't stop laughing nor, after, singing the songs. Hurts a lot that it never got another season!!
