Today just took apart Nut Case and Cylinder, Nut Case was absolutely clever. (Took roughly half an hour to take apart, haven't put it together.) Cylinder which was mind boggling for about 15-20 minutes, which is the quickest puzzle yet for me. (Took about 5 hours to put together.)

Very great tutorial. My son got this for me as a gift and I was having a hard time trying over an hour tonight and half hour last night. Knew exactly what needed to happen but the 3rd piece was always in the way. After following this it only took me about 5 minutes to get apart.

I was working on this puzzle for 4 hours yesterday and I couldn’t do it someone else is doing it now I don’t think he’ll give it to me but I’m watching this because he might give up but he seems very determined.

I liked this puzzle at the beginning, but now, fucking pieces are a bit bent, and correct moves look wrong, as it needs to be forced a bit. Even after trying to put it back together along with you, I'm back to a solution I managed to do on my own, and it is not a correct one. Damn it. Will have to try again. Edit:did it on the second try, I thinkI was always missing thelast step of putting trinity through no name. This realy defeated me. When I solved vortex, at least I knew, there was only one possible way to solve it, but this one, I can "solve" really quickly, but it just never was the correct solution, that would fit back into the box insert. Thanks for your help

Yep, my solution is a lot different then the way he did it. I solved mine first, then came back to the video to watch it front beginning to end, and the one thing I didn't have to deal with (that he does like three times or so) is "forcing" them with a little forced nudge. My rule of thumb is if you can't "SMOOTHLY" mate the parts or slide them around each other, then it's most likely the incorrect move. My rule of thumb especially applies here because this puzzle looks like a Geometrical nightmare of a design for whoever did it that I am PRETTY SURE that there are going to be probabilistic moves that will feel like solutions, but confuse you because it's not easily maneuvered around....so because of this....sensitivity to the ease of maneuverability is the best way to "correctly" find the solution.

Bought and Received Square, Infinity and NEWS. Took apart all three and put together. Infinity I know exactly what to do now, Square it's complicated but it seems to work. NEWS, I have no idea how it even ends up getting those little Sticks in the position to free the pieces from each other.

News has a simple trick which is hard to find. But sometimes it can be opened by mistake. Once mine fell down in two pieces.

@@matthewnyegard8414 Trinity is a difficult puzzle for beginners. Try Hanayama Baroq Puzzle, great puzzle for beginners, not too easy and not too difficult. Exactly what you need to fall in love with Hanayama puzzles.

If you hold it the same way he does you will notice that in your case the Trinity piece is flipped, if so you can't get it through, you have to be on the correct side of the trinity piece with loop and head to get it through

Infinity is a great choice, one of my favorite Hanayama puzzles. News doesn't require Japanese knowledge but i would pick something different, UFO for example.

Sometimes I wonder if I am actually solving these all though appearing clueless, subconsciously perhaps I might be. For example, I was trying to put Infinity back in starting position, and apparently I was actually talking it apart. For News I ended up watching a video while just fidgeting with it, and noticed it felt more loose so I pulled and it came apart. Sometimes I get lost in what I do, that there is no logic to what I do.

If i solve puzzles not on camera i do it exactly the same way. Sometimes i don't pay attention on what i;m doing and find that the puzzle is solved already.

I did mine differently. I positioned the 3 pieces in such a way that by pressing no name piece and trinity piece the head of trinity piece widened the gap between the heads of hanayama piece. Then the pieces had to be looped back around one another to give hanayama piece berth so with its widened gap able to op out of loop with trinity piece and then loop around with some subtle sliding and disjoint from no name. Then simple bring no name and trinity up. Put no name at a right angle. Slide them apart. I know this isn’t the purist way. Alexander sliced through the Gordian knot. And I now consider myself a 6 star puzzler.

@@lgtestho9059 This is one of those things where the person is what entirely matters. I for one found the Nut case, (when I got it apart) not to be that difficult. I didn't understand it completely from the inside out, but I knew how to do it not long after. As for trinity, not even by luck could I get it apart, I had to watch a video for that.

Just received UFO yesterday. Don't have a clue why it won't come apart, cause I have it slightly parted, and have several times but the pieces in the middle then get stuck and the Hanayama and UFO piece end up stuck in that position. (Not stuck like to where it's messed up, stuck that I can't move it any further.)

No, there is no error in making. UFO is a tricky puzzle, it deserves level 6 out of 6. Try different approach.

My most visible progress approach is getting the pieces to appear as a cross then turn them to face the side of the puzzle. Which gets it decently parted but not enough.

There is not much you can do. I see only two options 1. Pretend the no name piece is still in tact and continue solving 2. Buy new puzzle.

I did it a diffirent way, I used the skinny parts of the loop to go through the heads of one of the other pieces. Is this ok or did i cheat?

So unfortunately when searching up about this puzzle my eyes caught the attention of what appears to be the solution. Just simply rotating clock wise. I don't understand how that puts the pieces in position to free the main pieces, but I do know that seems to work now. I may also understand why the keyword is Needle. My guess is the needle of a compass, which turning it clock wise like a needle seems to solve it. I feel like I didn't really solve the mystery though cause I accidentally saw what was apparently the solution online.

Trinity is difficult puzzle. You have to move parts very precise. Just 1mm left or right and you can't do the right move.
