Maybe I should have explained more about what kind of candy Castella is. It is characterized by its egg color and the grainy texture in the grilled areas :) Looks delicious, right?

White Pearl shimmer is unusual, I like the idea. Looks pretty much like silver on my screen, though. Anyway, thank you!

Well, I learned a lot today. I'd never heard of Castella, and now I know there's a whole world of wagashi out there to try!!! This is a really interesting ink. Many yellow/brown inks are too light for use on white paper. I guess it's the glitter in this that makes it look like writing with gold. Of course, the Iroful makes it look most like gold! Thank you.
