Casting Aluminum Coffee Table, (Part 1 - table top fail and success)

This will be 2 part videos series of how I will create a small aluminum coffee table castings for indoor and outdoor use.
In part 1 I am focusing on the table top part, I made x2 castings and the first one failed following with a successful casting. Once again I am using day to day items to make the pattern and recycling aluminum drink cans into an aluminum coffee table.
Main purpose of this video is just to create more awareness of recycling and how we can create original new items out of scrap.

Hi Mason, I use Washing Soda to degas the molten aluminum and get rid of the impurities in the molten aluminum.

This is why I'm never gonna cast in sand... Its not reusable, and if it fails u gotta make the whole fuckin thing all over again. Ill only ever cast in permanent molds using plaster, graphite or other materials
