The late seasons story lines were seriously horrendous. As much as I loved Castle it was a very good thing it ended, the proposed next season with just Castle would have been such an awful idea and completely ruined the entire show for the sake of making more money.

Thank you for this! Definitely a much more solid ending. I’ve only just finished my first watch of castle (which will undoubtedly be followed by at least two more eventually. The original ending was so abrupt and unnecessarily dark (at first) that it just did not feel right at all. I guess that’s the one good thing about being late to watching a show that other people have already watched - - the Internet can help me find wonderful things like this! Thank you again!

It cant be an alternate ending because do you remember that time travel guy he said senator becket and her 3 kids and in the end it show those three so it is the true ending

They are saying it's an alternate ending, because it's not the original ending of the series. They completely ruined the series finale by rushing it. Everything that was supposed to happen, does happen, like their three kids. There's just more information added so we can see how their lives would have panned out better, including their friends.

this is my 2nd fav of the 4 alts i've seen... alittle to happy dappy, I like finding out what happened to the rest of the cast, i think it may have been the background music.... STILL way better then what actually aired. THANK YOU so MUCH for sharing these. it made me want to watch the series again... anyone know if there are reruns somewhere??

Of the alternate endings I've seen I like this one the best. Letting us know what happened to all of the characters is what the series finale needed. After Castle ended that was my first thought. They should have given a synopsis of what happened to all the characters.

Both Castle´s and Becketts injurys are lethal, having them dying while holding hands would have made a lot more scence, and it would have been a sad end to the effort the both put up to solve the murder of Becketts Mom.

Let's pretend they are in heaven and that 3 kids just their shared dream. I k now it's sad, but fitting. They die together, hand in hand ... they had so little time for happiness, just bits and pieces of blissfully uneventful life here and there. Yeah. It's sad, but beautiful and transcendental, in a way... (Whoever cannot handle this ending can always pretend the last scenes were not a dream, but a glimpse of future...)
