Ty sir. It still is one trusty Bec and as long as they sell it, many don't know about the stock settings.

I installed the cc-bec on my losi lmt10 yesterday and it gets burning hot. Any idea why that happens?

hi! does it means that, after setting the voltage to 6,5 v no matter how many lipo cells (4s) i use it will regulate it to that current so i dont burn my esc?! is that right?!
@1967illya4 жыл бұрын
Yes, that is correct!
@Guarenovsky4 жыл бұрын
ok! cool! so my esc is capable of 3s, and by the time i don’t hav anyof those yet i do have 2x 4s laying around with no use, and i have that dingy installed on a score trophy truck from axial. so if you are telling me that it is possible that will be greaaaat! please confirm that to me?! thanks in advance

I just remembered I need a BEC :)
@1967illya8 жыл бұрын
Well, i am a strong defender of using a Bec. Those who say it is not necessary, have never used one... So get yours! :)

Do you know if you can use the field card to connect the 10A BEC to a PC to change the voltage or do you have to have the usb link? I know I can use the field card to program an ESC (I've done that), but wasn't sure if it could also serve as the "castle link" when programming a BEC. I haven't bought the BEC yet, just trying to figure out if I need to get the usb link too.
@1967illya7 жыл бұрын
Hey Bryan. The Program card is not for changing the bec settings unfortunately. For that, you do need the usb link.

Figures. So, a $25 BEC then costs $45 to program. Thanks for the info.
@1967illya7 жыл бұрын
True... Yet if you run more CC bec's and maybe a CC Esc it will "repay" itself.

The ESC I have is a CC, the SCT SV3, which doesn't allow for adjusting the BEC voltage. I got a response from castle regarding the card. It can be used to program the BEC when connected to a PC. It just can't program it directly without connecting to the PC/app. The field card works as a "castle link" when connecting to a PC. I've used it to adjust the ESC on my E-Revo directly and connected to a PC, which is why I didn't want to have to buy the USB link as well. I already ordered an alternate 6A BEC... if it doesn't work, I'll just get the castle. I was impatient. lol

@@olds97lss late but in pretty sure the card would act as a link for the bec to hook to a pc/app.

It's such a rip off, 30$ for the programing card, I'm sure it's a basic FTDI breakout
