Castle Howard Lakeside Holiday Park - Amazing!!

Castle Howard is a stately home in North Yorkshire, the campsite is at the end of the Great lake and called Castle Howard Lakeside Holiday Park, as well as a touring site, there is also a holiday homes site which is open all year round.
Castle Howard is home to the Howard family and has been for over 300 years. Although the house was not open to the public at the time of our visit due to filming for TV, the grounds themselves are well worth visiting. There are some amazing views, lots of statues and many other things to see, you could spend all day here and still not see everything. The Atlas Fountain is spectacular and one of the best fountains we have ever seen.
It is just short of a mile walk to the house from the campsite but well worth the walk.
For all the campsite is called Lakeside and it is at the side of the Great Lake, you cannot really see the lake due to the trees that surround it. There is also a camping filed which can be used by tent campers or campers that do not require a EHU.
