Oh man, I’m tentatively excited for you to get around the Princess Mononoke review. It is my favorite movie of all time and it admittedly has a lot of parallels to Nausicaä, but imo done infinitely better. I’m crossing my fingers that it becomes one of your Ghibli faves!

Great review! While I agree with your complaints they don’t really impact my enjoyment. Yeah the villain is weak, yeah it’s a bit too long, etc but the general aesthetic and vibe of the film is so good that it’s less of an annoyance and more of a brief lul
