My favorite Hisaishi score from all Miyazaki's films. Chokes me up every time when the children's choir starts it off. And that crescendo! Just so beautiful.

I was always really moved by the crescendo of this song- the imagery that goes with it- knowing the line is "the dreams of my father still burning in my heart" , knowing Miyazaki's personal history just made it so much more devastating and beautiful.

Totally agree with you. This song is very special to me as well. I saw the movie again the same day before going to the concert, and hearing this song at that moment was sublime.

The way this score parallels the whole movie is such magic, its one of my favorites films of all time, and I am so glad I know of the adventure of Laputa
