I am a much bigger fan of Glenn's Creek bourbons from next door, but Castle and Key does have a better tour. While in the Frankfort KY area you can pay $20 to try 6 of the J Mattingly bourbons and ryes, another old name brought back. I did like 3 of the 6, although the price was quite high. Also a tour of James E. Pepper in Lexington, that has the first bourbon made there since 1958 that many rate high. Many call the black fungus on outer building surfaces from the angel share, that I get on the roof of my car since I live and work in Frankfort, near the Jim Beam and Buffalo Trace distilleries.

C&K is definitely one of our favorite tours, but the Pepper distillery, is fantastic how they made such a cool community vibe out of it! We still haven't tried J Mattingly, even though we had the opportunity at the Bourbon Women SIPosium this past weekend in Louisville. We often think about how cool would it be to live in bourbon country! Does it ever get old to you locals?

Not terrible just young. But that is not what this video is about! 😊 I have to admit though, I am a fan of their gins! You should give then a try! And you must visit this distillery, it'll blow you away!
