Hello Bribery, What time of year and time of day do the characters walk freely around Disneyland Anaheim? We went last Friday Dec 5th and it was so crowded everywhere there was little walking room. We went on only one ride :(. It was my 2 year old daughter's first time at Disneyland and she wanted to see her favorites: Winnie, Tigger, Alice, Pinocchio and Tinkerbell.

While I'm not Briberry I am someone who goes to Disneyland regularly each year. Here's my advice: Never go between the end of September - beginning of January, that's Disney's busiest season because of the Holidays. Now you can go during this time but it will be very crowded and difficult to get on rides/meet characters. I suggest looking up what the busy times are and plan a time to go during Disney's slow seasons. My birthday is right in the middle of Spring Break and Easter so my family and I always go before that time in the beginning of March or mid March. Going on a Wednesday helps too. Midweek is one of Disney's least busy times. My family and I always walk right onto rides when we go on Wednesdays. Meeting characters, however, if there are specific ones you want to meet you can go to the information building (at the entrance next to the firehouse) and ask for the schedules of the characters you want. You can then plan your day around the meet and greets with those characters and that way you don't miss them. I'm sorry that your daughters first time wasn't that great but I assure you, doing what I just explained above will create a fantastic and magical experience for your whole family because it wil be easier and more relaxing for you the next time you go. :)
