Filling Hanging Baskets.

Today we filled two hanging baskets using, pelargonium pink, trailing petunia candy floss, ivy leaf geranium pink, bacopa snowflake, and 4 busy lizzies. The compost was normal compost with added medium grade vermiculite and fish blood and bone meal.

Good morning Thank you for posting, your baskets look amazing. I’ve made my baskets up in pink, red and white since I saw yours a couple of years ago. They make such a good combination. 🩷❤️🤍 I was diagnosed with stage 3 bowel cancer in April 2023 and have just been given the all clear so I’ll be knuckling down in the new courtyard garden my husband has built. His joiner friend built an 8’ x 9’ greenhouse in the corner for me and I have it stuffed full of tomato plants and a wall of display pelargoniums. On my chemo days I was in pj’s, bed socks, crocs and a bobble hat, sitting in the warm greenhouse with the dogs where (thankfully 😂) no one could see me!! Gardening really is good for the soul ☺️ We’re off to the garden centre for pink petunias today……loved your arrangement. Thank you. Gill

Thanks Cliff, always love to see your baskets, and those ones are a lovely weave. I like to make sure I put one or two worms in my pots and baskets, they help keep the soil turned over and I don't seem to have such a problem with the vine weevil.

Very nice video Cliff and Diane on hanging baskets! I like the idea of the extra lining in the bottom and drainage holes further up the baskets, makes good sense! I’ll be copying that idea, thanks, I’ve only just sown busy lizzie seeds and I’m hoping they’ll be ready for planting in baskets for the summer 🙈🤞.
