@Mup JeS well castlerea is a complete kip, Roscommon town is a fantastic town, fully of decent friendly people not like that dump castlerea

4:32 at the right that shop use to be owned by my parents we had to move it was such a good place to live. It's sad I'm gone from here. I'm 14 now and left when I was 9 and it was the best time ever there.

The old workhouse is long gone, seemingly no photos are to be found. I have Google searched but nothing! Sadly I have some historic family connection to what must have been a hellish nightmare for it's "residents". Rest in peace to them all.

The site/building is still there. In Knockroe. It's now a private dwelling. Owned by the local Undertaker.
