What a cute theme. Def want to learn about this one. We go on family holidays to the beach each year with my mother and 2 sisters and the familes. Beach holidays are the best and so relaxing and a time for lots of board gaming.

Really remarkable theme here for sure. I agree beach holidays are truly the best, often just so relaxing.

I have backed this game and am excited for it. Growing up, I never went to the beach often as we camped in the mountains more often than not. That being said some of my favorite memories are swimming in the ocean and hanging out at the beach.

Thanks for watching Tim! Look forward to hearing your thoughts about this wonderful game! Mountain hiking is generally one of our favorite activities to do! Nothing beats that fresh morning air.

Great video ! The theme is absolutely adorable, looks like Arietty at the beach ! Will definitely have a look at the kickstarter !

It has been a long time since I've been to the beach since I live in a state now without much water, but one of my favorite times of year when I lived in Savannah, GA was the annual sand sculpture contest. It's crazy what people can create with sand and it all gets washed away!

What a cool annual tradition! The beach truly is a magical place, so many activities, laughter, and wonder! Thanks for watching!

My earliest memory is going to the beach to collect shells, taking them back to the family cabin, laying them all out on the table and then one of them *moved* (I'd inadvertently grabbed a hermit crab). I completely flipped out and hid in bed 😅
@kovray2 жыл бұрын
What an amazing memory! There must have been so many wonderous shells! Spooky hermit crab though!

Thanks for this overview! I love Brotherwise and don’t have any games like this in the collection. Likely an insta back for me (pending price+shipping cost). Fun fact: Boss Monster by Brotherwise was the first board game I ever backed.
@kovray2 жыл бұрын
Boss Monster was also one of our firsts, before we really knew the vast landscape of the hobby! It's such a treat to get it out every now and then!

This theme looks so cute! Not sure if I’ll back it though, will have to keep an eye on the project. When we lived in Florida, we took ours dogs Maggie Moo & Emmett Otter to the dog beach all the time and had so much fun. No destroying of sand castles involved though HAHA
@kovray2 жыл бұрын
Our dogs have never been to the beach yet and that sounds like something we have to make sure happens soon because I know they wil absolutely love it (and probably destroy some sandcastles too)! Thanks for watching Stephanie!

We love Brother Wise games for Overboss and Boss Monster. But didn't really get on with Santorini. Do you think this would be for us ?
@stephenlake73982 жыл бұрын
Santorini is Roxley Games, isn't it?
@BoxedMeeples2 жыл бұрын
@@stephenlake7398 Yes, I'm more curious as to if my Love for Brotherwise will be enough to make this appealing as a two player game, given mechanically it seems similar to Santorini
@kovray2 жыл бұрын
Although there are similarities I dont think I would compare this too much to Santorini, mainly as the Hazards is what keeps the game so vibrant and there wasn't a removal mechanism in Santorini. We've had a great experience with this one, excited to see what the advanced mode and expansions have to offer.
@BoxedMeeples2 жыл бұрын
@@kovray Great thats good to hear 😀 Yes we will keep an eye out for more details, advanced mode sounds interesting

When the kids were younger we used to take them to Post Stephens in NSW Australia. We would go down to a little sheltered beach and the kids could swim until it got too cold for them. But every now and again they would be joined by dolphin or penguin that took an interest in little humans. Great review too, I think my favourite of the Brotherwise Games in Night of the Ninja, which only seems to get better as you add more people.

That is so incredible! So many great memories I bet. Brotherwise Games have been on fire lately, super excited to see what they will do next!
@gs24-xor2 жыл бұрын
It seems cool and fun , but my concern it's who could I play it with. So what would you consider it's the weight of the game, according to BGG?
@kovray2 жыл бұрын
It's fairly easy to introduce as the turn order is on the player mat and flows quite smoothly, I would say a 2? Similar in complexity to a lot of Alderac games was my (Ilya) first thought.

Thanks for this awesome video! Because this is a prototype, we just wanted to share two updates you'll see in the final rules: 1. In a 2- or 3-player game, you'll move one Hazard and flip *both* other Hazards. 2. The Dragon will take out everything on the top two levels, but never takes out the bottom level. Both of those updates add a little more danger and tension, but the game is still approachable for a wide variety of skill levels. In addition to the core game rules described in this video, check out our Kickstarter for advanced rules and variants that really amp up the game's strategy!

It's been since pre-pandemic that I got to an ocean beach. But the great lakes are really stunning if you're in the Midwest. I promise you can build sandcastles there too 🤍🏖️

@@kovray Lake Superior is just lovely. If you're ever near Duluth Minnesota that's a nice spot to hang out at the beach. 🤍🤍
