Disagree. Awaken realms didn't ask me to make this video nor was there any expectation of goods or money exchanging. I made a video on my own accord to let people know about a game in hyped about that re opened their late pledge. I also wanted to do a tutorial on how to navigate through a late pledge because people legitimately have questions on how to do it. Appreciate being called out, but I take offense when it's casually thrown around.

I imagine the acrylic tiles would be needed even with the 3D terrain tiles because you would need to draw them out of the bag for the center board (unless you were able to somehow randomly select different 3D tiles).

Or just use old base game tiles to use as a randomizer then get the miniature when you’ve drawn from the bag

You don’t need the minis. The castles would just get in the way. Plus they make it look like only a 10 difference, but if you’re gonna get the minis you should get them sundropped so really it’s closer to a 40 difference for minis that will get in the way

I backed the Royal pledge originally... but now they've added the upgraded token pack? and I'm hearing that they aren't going to print on the back of the acrylic tyles? ... that's a massive bummer. What are your thoughts on that?

I did not care for any of the minis either. But then I saw someone else's review video and when showed the little castles up close I realized I did want them. They're not large and they're very detailed. I was afraid they would be big and bulky from the drawings they featured on their project page. But they are nothing like that. So I went back to the pledge manager and added them.

Late pledges open every day, why did you specifically highlight this? It came across as a straight up 15min ad. You didn’t critique anything, you just pushed people to spend hundreds of dollars. Has Alex from Gamefound been in contact??

I haven't talked with Alex in regards to this and I doubt he would ever request another creator to make a video for their product. I took a shot at a video series that I think I would personally find helpful if I was looking for information on it. Not everyone is savvy with gamefound and Kickstarter. Everyday I see questions about what is a pledge manager. I just wanted to make a video.

@@GameBrigade Ow I am just trolling and having fun :P. Can't speak for the other person. Personally game overviews are the most useful for me. For example if you are looking at doing something about mosaic, just showing how it is played is generally the best information out there. As of right now there is only a handful people that truly mastered the teach in that regard. Monique and Naveen are really good in that. So if you can somewhat come close to their level of providing a good overview and then review. Go for it!

@@Nozdormu1982 I have been tossing the idea around about overview/teaches in my reviews. Trying to see if people see value in them. I also used to do full set up instructions.

@@GameBrigade It all depends on the quality. The reason why Monique and naveen work really well is due to their chemistry and the way they show the game by playing it. Some of the other overviews just don't work that well. For example while Alex does structure his overviews really really well, it somehow doesn't connect with me. To me he really excels in providing a good overview in what is available. That is something he nailed.

10:08 I am a little confused. Because you just said that you cannot add the 3D terrain pack separately, yet when you come down to Add-ons, it says, "3D terrain pack". Is that the terrain pack which is NOT Sundrop? Thanks.

@Game Brigade On the FAQs page, it says, under "Do 3d castle miniatures replace the castle hex tiles?" "No. If you order a pledge containing the 3d miniatures you will also receive hex tiles representing the castles." This is mixed messaging - and very confusing.

I backed the Royal pledge… But with no text on acrylic tiles i think i will Downgrade my pledge and use the extra funds for shipping and VAT… hopefully it sums up… or else i might add the acrylic workers / other tokens… 🤔

I wish you could get just the acrylic or just the cardboard, as it is with the acrylic tiles you have almost two copies of the game, that's very wasteful.

Thank you sir. I had emailed the people via the pledge to ask about the difference between sundrop and the standard 3d add on and never heard back. You explained that the sundrop 3d miniatures are going to be painted, while the 3d miniature add on at the bottom won't be painted. Painted is really important to me (and should be a separate option so I'm not forced to buy other add ons I don't want), so I know which version I'm getting now. Thanks!

The sundrop adds a "wash" I wouldn't call them painted because that In my mind would include multiple colors. I hope this helps.

At 7:30 you show the non-Sundrop versions of the castle minis ... except I don't think they're going to look like that. Back in the beginning of the video there's another image with the minis shown in red. That's apparently what they're shooting for. But your point about seeing the texture better in Sundrop is still relevant.

The Royal Pledge seems like the best "bang for your buck" although I personally wish it included the upgraded tokens instead of the playmat

I was also confused why they had the minis and the acrylic tokens in the same bundle. However after playing Oathsworn, the minis tend to shift on the board a lot and I have been using the tokens as a placeholder to know were the mini is supposed to be.

You really missed noting that the acryllic tokens lack the text on the back. Meaning they have less utility then the cardboard tokens. This for me means I will not want the acryllic, this is also the reason I am not going for the minis. Both of these "upgrades" actually hurt the game.
