glad they kept the music true to the original cus theres another simon quest remake with probably better graphics but most of the music wa sjust random heavy metal that was totally random and nothing similar to the original music at all which ruined the whole vibe for me cus growin up, half of the reason i loved simons quest was the music

Yo dibuje las nuevas Sprites dándole más animación a Simon, y trabajé con MetroidQuest mejorando como se siente el juego. Ojalá que lo disfruten!

Nice, I just Trunk the character sprite has to be a bit more though looking, Simon’s armor and physique has larger shoulders, a bit bent forwards, like on the NES version

Among the various fan recreations of SQ, this is my fav one. Most elements of the game are improved while keeping the spirit of the original game. Graphics and music also are well-chosen, and it doesnt follow the tired trend of emulating SOTN. It feels closer to SCIV. Thanks for the vídeo.

De que sirve quitarle el "curse" al mapa en el 1:16:43? Cuando lo hice yo se me atoro el juego y nunca me entere para que era.

Perdon que demorara un monton en responder, tuve que contactar al creador por esto, con eso podes ver el mapa completo, ya que por lo general al poner el mapa solo podes ver en donde estas, con este podes mover y ver otras zonas.

Edit: This post is completely irrelevant as I mistakenly believed this game came out after the far more recent release of Castlevania ReVamped fan make of the original game. Thanks for pointing that out @amunx2! My bad. Feel free to read my original opinion based on my unfounded assumption. lol. ---------------- Not nearly at the same level as the original Castlevania Revamped. That was a completely new game, turning the original NES Castlevania into a Metroidvania that was masterfully designed from the ground up with all new bosses, areas, items, systems, enemies, powers etc. It was an amazing passion project that showcased the love fans have for the series. It was truly special. This game on the other hand, while solid in it's own right with some great additions, like the bosses to each of the mansions before getting each Dracula piece (even though those bosses can mostly all be cheesed) as well as a map feature which makes navigation much more streamlined, is effectively just a reskin of the original Simon's Quest. Which isn't to say that's a bad thing, it just doesn't quite live up to it's Revamped predecessor. I will give credit where it's due however. The final 'true ending' clocktower stage at the end is a nice addition. It pays homage to the series by adding in the now iconic clocktower environment which was sorely absent from the original Simon's Quest. So, a fantastic addition to be sure. Overall, not a bad remaster to what many consider to be the black sheep of the Castlevania saga.
