@MaxHowser9 жыл бұрын
I'm actually currently making a My little Pony: FiM RPG, that's going to actually have some serious emotional depth and is going to take itself very seriously. I'm probably going to have this song play in a tense portion of the game where Rainbow Dash's life is in your hands, and you don't have much time to save her life. It's going to be very dark, and I'm trying to make it like Steven Universe. Bright, Vibrant, and Joyful at times, but also can be a weighted and dramatic experience.

My mum is a season concert pianist, and didnt force me to play. she saw my potential in music, and asked when i was 6 (which is when she figured i could make my own honest decision) if i wanted to take piano lessons. knowing me, i dont like lessons of any sort. she knows i like doing things on my own free will and not cause i have to. She offerred me to do 5 lessons, and if i dont like it i can quit. I agreed, i did the 5. After they were complete my mum asked if i enjoyed the piano lessons. My response was "You said i only have to do 5, then i can quit." she didnt say anything, but we both knew that i never said i hated it. To this day i regret not continuing. My mum reminds me that if i had continued to play, and take lessons, I would have surpassed her skil tenfold and would be able to make a fulfilling career out of piano alone. Today i am a professional music producer, audio engineer, and composer. But still to this day, I wish i continued my training so i can play these masterpieces, and all of my favourite music. Even my own.. Its never too late to start though!

I'm currently 22 and never touched an instrument past extremely basic, entirely forgotten lessons in elementary school. I always loved music and this was the song that made me want to learn. I bought a shitty 80$ piano off Amazon and got to work. This is probably my 7th day of learning this song and have mastered the first 30 seconds. The start was what felt the hardest, honestly. The first 5 seconds of the song took me a day to even play without fucking up at about a quarter of the intended speed. There's a couple notes in the next verse that seem impossible for me to play because of how small my hands are, but understanding basic music theory helps a lot when trying to change a note to accommodate for something. If you try, you can definitely learn to play it, even with baby hands like mine. It's not easy by any means, but when you play it right, it feels amazing. I remember picking up the pace and thinking all the notes were just noise at this point. Went to bed, woke up, played again after a warm-up and it felt so much different. It might take you several months to perfect it, but you'll eventually get there.
@ianfinrir87244 жыл бұрын

Yeah. Realistically, it would only take you a few months or less to learn it if you really put enough time into it. Repetition and memory is key here. But a few parts have uncomfortable hand positionings like left hand playing in 1:26 (for the thumb) so it would be good to make some few quick alterations as well that would significantly improve your performance
