See here's the proof, some people think HoD's soundtrack is really bad, but it's not it's just held back by bad audio quality (thanks chiptune), you've shown that once it's done with good quality the soundtrack is actually brilliant

Weird thing is though, that while I appreciate the arrangements/rearrangements put out by fans, I still prefer the original HoD tracks as they were, using those "low quality" synths. The developers knew they were dealing with lower quality sound this time around and tried really hard to make up for it with composition. I feel like every bit of dissonance and use of synth in HoD's OST is totally intentional. At first when I first played HoD as a kid, right after having finished Circle of the Moon, the music was hard to listen to, but many years since then I've come to love it, more than CotM's OST even.

I just found this and Im glad I did! Because it made me buy HoD again, sadly my old cartridge was damaged many years ago and hence is unplayable, but listening to this brings back so many memories ... I remember fondly seeing this game on the Christmas tree with a brand new GBA, I cant quite recall if I asked for this game specifically but I became inmediately inmersed in the vampire and gothic lore, exploring Dracula's castle, whipping my way through strange corridors all the meanwhile rain was pouring outside and my mom was calling me for dinner. Now Im married, expecting my first child and just wishing he/she will like this games as much as his/her father does :D

As with most remixes, the percussion feels too weak. I don't know why people who remix old game music always give the songs weaker percussion than the original low resolution music...a modern remix should not be getting outclassed by an old sound chip. The snare should knock me on my ass. I should be afraid of it.
