I own this on Steam, and it's such a great collection. I love that they put this game on here as a bonus. It could have been released as a stand-alone game but I am glad they didn't.

M2 has really outdone themselves with these collections, they're all fantastic. I'm with you, I'm glad this is a bonus game. Hopefully Konami will let M2 make a new castlevania game sometime soon

I need to put a little time into the 3 DS games, as I hear they're great, but I agree this was a nice surprise and really puts a nice bow on this collection

It’s a lovely looking game, and the level design seems solid. However, it’s a shame there isn’t a way to stiffen up the difficulty more. Even on Hard it’s kind of easy to waltz through the game.

@drivelikej9962 Yeah I was surprised by how easy it was. Like I said I wish they added a few more levels, would have felt less like a waltz

I'm just getting in to castlevania. I'm starting with Symphony of the night and I have a major question. Are the GBA and DS games worth playing on their own Merrit or are they only worth playing if I really really like symphony of the night and need to scratch that itch.

@r.w.9631 I can't speak for the DS games too much as I'm only playing them know for the first time myself, but the GBA games are pretty good, with a few minor improvements on the SOTN formula here and there. BUT, I think you're right on the money by saying they're only worth it if you enjoy Symphony. I'm not a big metroidvania guy but I was blown away by how good Symphony was when I finally played it last year, so enjoy. If you don't end up liking it then I highly recommend Super Castlevania 4, Castlevania 3, and Belmonts Revenge (Gameboy game) as great classic castlevania starters.

Well that checks out. I've owned the classic collection as long as I've had synphany so I'll check em out. Get back to me on the DS games.
