Man, I've never been into Castlevania, barely even heard of it, but I know that you always make amazing music, so I watched this anyway and DAAAAAANG I AM NOT DISAPPOINTED. Obviously I love hearing you do my favorite songs that I know and love, but hearing you do songs I've never heard is almost as awesome, because I get introduced to new music in a metallic way, and it's always nice to just jam out to something new. Your mixes are pretty darn good dude. You do a really good job with layering all that guitar. I know it’s probably a lot to ask, but what’s your approach for equalizing those guitars to get that much clarity between them? Bias has pretty good tones, but I imagine the higher frequencies of all the guitar tracks would begin to multiply enough to make a pretty bad fizz. Are you really dipping in the 4k-6k range with some of them or what?

Thanks so much! I'd say most of it is my pickups having a strong midrange as opposed to high end. The BIAS patch I use for rhythms also has a pretty chill high end compared to most metal tones I hear so I don't have to do much EQ on it. The leads can give me a bit of trouble in the high end sometimes so for this one I actually layered 2 tones together one of which being super mid-rangy and the other having a lot of high end so I could blend them. The mix bus more than anything helps smooth out the highs for the overall mix :)
