I never knew that with Sypha's fire spell you could bypass hitting Dracula phase 1 on the head, and also phase 2 became a joke with it, phase 3 with Trevor (using Axes) is also easy peasy. Nice job beating this hardcore game.

That was amazing! I was only ever able to beat this game once, back when I was a kid in like 1991, and it was so tough that I never played it again. I remember that boss after Dracula with all the faces - it was cool to see it again for the first time in almost 30 years.

Nice Sypha strats! A lot of players, even good ones, tend to underestimate or completely overlook the ice spell. These days I actually get a lot of enjoyment out of trying Sypha-only/ice-only runs. You can enter URATA on the name screen to start with her in a normal quest, with the first possible ice book located in a candle near the top of the vertical chapel set piece. ;D

I have beaten this game once. On 3DS and I absolutely abused the save states. But I LOVED playing as Sypha! Her staff can sort of be used as a shield against projectiles, cause she hits fast and her attack covers her entire front. So I tended to use her a lot on stairs and against bone pillars. She could usually attack fast enough to wack the bone pillars and their projectiles to death without usually getting hit.

You looked physically ill a couple of times there during the Dracula fight. You were kicking his ass there for a good bit and I admire how sporting you were in allowing him to hit you a few times to make it interesting and exciting. You had some good moments throughout. I liked the segment going up the stairs in that red area in the 13th minute. You played that rather nicely with some close calls. Also nice to see Sypha used to good effect. That's one thing I like in watching other playthroughs. I get to see completely different strategies from my own. I tackled Dracula completely differently. I also used Trevor almost exclusively the last time I played the game. That has its pros and cons. Nicely played and congrats on completing it. It was fun to watch .

That's just the gamer stare coming from that particular combination of frustration and determination. I love the excitement and disbelief you feel when you win the game, Erin. It makes me remember how excited I got all those years ago when I first beat it (with Syfa too, by the way). After that time I won the game several times with the other characters and even in hard mode, but when I did it the first time it was such an incredible feeling that I defeated a game sooo great in every aspect, even though at times it seemed impossible to beat and at the same time I felt the satisfaction that my efforts of playing for hours and hours were worth it. That feeling you have for life🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻

For one reason, CastleVania III is my favorite NES game😊. Ok, so, this is what happn'd. We all know that Mike is a monster in gaming, he can dodge anything coming his way and complete even the most exhausting of trials without beating an eye, and that's because he's a vampire, and what do vampires do? They do their things, one of them is knitting, another is having super reflexes. Now that Erin let him in, she is under his influence, poor thing, and maybe it's too late, maybe she already became a creature of the night. I have never seen her so relaxed and indifferent towards a game, as if there's a layer of cold between her and the screen, a layer of darkness. And look at her, no makeup, so pale yet so beautiful, as a pearl shimmering in the moon. Mike! What have you done.
