This game was so underated when it originally came out, and I honestly loved it. Fuck the God Of War comparisons, the atmosphere, storyline, gameplay it was all pretty good and I really liked it.

Totally agree the story was the most profound I've seen in any video game in a long time lol. They really have a way of making you connect with Gabriel and feel his sorrow. Can't wait to see the conclusion in part 2!

Oscar Araujo (the composer who wrote this peace) didn't even know he was writing a masterpiece that will sooth my soul every time I listen to it, from now until the day I die. what a beautiful piece.. I know this comment is 7 years old. I played it recently on my gaming pc at max resolution. That true this game is a gem, even if this is a clone of GOW the fact they nailed all the mechanics perfectly and the story make it a great game to play again. Can't say the same about the sequel.

Great composition. Not the biggest fan of all the vocal chantings but I love brass so this pretty much was heaven too me. There's a power you get from brass that's unrivaled and makes a scene so epic! I'm an amateur composer so I really look up too stuff like this. :)

I dont agree with what hes doing but I understand it and cant blame him. Best castlevania story ever because it truely makes u feel for Dracula story of loss and remorse. @DarthVorace It all depends on the ear of the beholder, so to speak. I showed this too a friend of mine and he didn't like the booming brass and strings which I loved personally. We all have our certain affinities toward different instruments I suppose but even though I'm not of fan of chanting or vocals, I can say this is grade A+ quality and tone in the vocals :)

it had a very good story, you just had to look more closely at it to see the important themes being juggled around. why, even senator armstrong's views being forced into extremes shed light on the "survival of the fittest" mindset and how it can brutally afflict the world. I think rising had a wonderful plot, and each character consistently testing raiden's relatively weak resolve was a nice plot point. it's just a revenge story, but it adds so much insight into a world that solid snake left.

Did we play the same games? SoTN's Dracula was already fucking DRACULA by the time he met Lisa and conceived Adrian. If you count Lament of Innocence - in which a guy became Dracula because his wife died and he, like a bratty child, decided to fuck everyone up. In LOS Gabriel busts his ass to save the world - even after learning that his order was founded by Lords of Shadow, even after learning that he was set up from the start, even after he gets nothing for defeating LUCIFER.
