This is excellent work. How you perform every composition sounds so clean and proficient. You should do live shows at a concert with the harpsichord.

Damn, this is amazing. Harpsichord, needs to make a comeback.
@vivianriver64502 жыл бұрын
From my limited knowledge of music history, the piano generally replaced the harpsichord because the piano offered musicians the ability to control the volume of the sound by how hard they pressed the keys, in contrast to the harpsichord, which would pluck the string with the same tension on each keystroke regardless of how hard or soft the musician pressed the key. As a matter of fact, "piano" is short for "pianoforte", which means soft-strong. But imo, in spite of all that the harpsichord has a very distinctive, sweet sound. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

@@vivianriver6450 That's interesting. I never knew that about the harpsichord and piano. Good to know more of the history of these instruments.
@vivianriver64502 жыл бұрын
@@Iceferno I suggest listening to Franz Schubert's "Elfking". A good pianist can raise and lower the force of the keys striking the strings to great dramatic effect. You cannot do that with a harpsichord. Both instruments have a great corpus of songs, tho!
@ithink39793 ай бұрын
@@vivianriver6450 The cool thing is that now in modern days with digital keyboards we can play the sound of the harpsichord the same as the pianoforte.

Clockwork sounds damn near perfect here, which is to be expected. What was not expected was how everything sounded so good.
@Iceferno4 жыл бұрын
What's great about these medleys (I did a second this year) is how even the Nes, Game Boy etc compositions are brought up, so everything can be judged on melody rather than technical limitations.
@tomhsia43544 жыл бұрын
@@Iceferno IMO, different melodies suits different instruments. It takes skill to rearrange a melody for a certain instrument/sound chip since you have to interpret the music as a whole (in other words, fantastic video). Clockwork, for example, is a melody composed for harpsichords, try making it work well on death metal (or maybe even a modern piano)...

I've been familiarizing myself with the series' music. You can get a 3-in-1 soundtrack from Amazon Japan, which I just might do. lol C3's soundtrack seems to be quite funky too. I've made remixes in the style of Streets Of Rage 2 which could work for Mad Forest and similar.
