I still remember when I was 17 years old, I cosplayed as a female Simon Belmont for Halloween. I went with a red wig and a mink coat one of my friends made (Chronicles version), and I went to a haunted house somewhere in NY (it was held at a jail somewhere...) I had the whip (actually a prop from an old Indiana Jones costume someone was selling on eBay) and anytime an actor jumped out and scared me, I'd crack the whip on the ground/wave it at them. That was in my senior year of high school. It was so fun.

When I was little I would always get to this stage, then get defeated by death. All that long enemy filled hallway was just too hard for me. That makes this song so nostalgic… I remember hearing it through the stage was like fighting hard against a fate you know you have few chances to defeat. Hearing it while closing on to death's hall was like raging forth to your demise, but fighting until the very end. That's the feeling this song reminds me of… the determination I felt spending hours on this stage but never being able to get through. This game was such a masterpiece to deliver such feelings.

The base line at 34 secs is just so goddamn awesome. This is by far the Song I remember most about Castlevania. If you were lucky, you could beat Frankensteins Monster pretty fast and then Death. Like, literally. Death comes, beats you and this awesome musik repeats.
Wouldn't count on it. It's being calld a ''reboot'' of the franchise, so I woulden't be surprised if 99% of the songs were original. But even if this one makes it or not, lets hope for a fully orchestrated soundtrack, and lots of eerie organ playing! :)
