So very broken! I'm 35 and I just finished playing through SOTN for the first time last night, somehow I missed it growing up and never saw any game play, just totally avoided info on it so I could enjoy it fresh. I ordered a copy in March and have been totally loving it. What an insane game!! I wish I'd found it when I was 17, I would have flunked out of school from playing it so much. It's hilarious to see how broken it can be in the hands of a skilled player, awesome job!

Welp time to hang up my 19:56 and call it a speedlife its been fun. I honestly think sub 20:00 is the best I will do, my execution is far too sloppy, I use HR RSL on death skip cause I am too lazy to learn neutron bomb or tetra spirit level up and I am far too rusty at this point. I'd still love to race an updated bingo card though and challenges were fun too. That ending time made me burst out laughing though.

+Sckarton I guess he froze the screen and skip on the last frame sending him to the other side of the screen... I guess I guess because you can do that on Clock tower or marble galley can't remember... But I did not know that you can do that on that particular room

+Sckarton He timed a level-up to happen right when the screen was about to scroll left, which locked it in place 1 pixel farther than it should've been. When he went through the door, the game interpreted his X-coordinate as -1 instead of 0 because of the screen shift. The game interpreted -1 as 255 because of integer underflow magic, and so instead of being at the far left of the next screen, he was at the far right. Then he just walked through the right door before Death appeared.

yes but simplier with an another technique IMO (but may take more time than this one here) taking damage from the last wolf with removed stuff for flying accros the death screen and avoid the death scythe , check youtube for explanation. Also idk for xbox.

The alucard sword you start out with is very powerful, in a cas run it gets taken away by death. He did a skip to keep that sword

It's on the soundtrack I own that has Japanese track listings on the back, so either it's in all versions of the game, or they for some reason included the American one on the Japanese version of the official soundtrack.

I know I'm 3 months late. It's actually extremely simple, it just has to be the first time you get into the shop on that playthrough, and all you have to do is enter the door while the fairy is talking. That'll let you pause while the shop menu is open, from there you just equip the garnet before you sell it, since you technically would have 0 garnets when you sell, you get 255 garnets.

You gotta use X-X!V''Q as profile name, which makes Alucard start with 99 luck + Lapiz Lazuli, get to the 3rd wolf just before going into death's encounter, you just gotta jump the 3rd wolf and let him hit you, you should see Alucard fly by skipping death's encounter.

In the sense of a true speed run.. You need to play the game all the way through getting only the things you need to beat it start to finish.. This is bullshit

Tyler Anselmo Normally Death takes all of your top tier gear that you start with, but he used a glitch to skip that encounter. He used a few glitches to skip major parts of the game, like the rings, and the pieces of Vlad which are necessary to progress under normal circumstances. The point of the run is to reach the end of the game as fast as possible. I'm sure there are glitchless runs out there if that's more to your taste.
