I hope to do this. I really like the Pollino mountains. However last year in December it was a bit cold - in June it was really nice.

It's very funny I tease my cousin Giuseppe for the rivalry be Civita and San Lorenzo Belizzi I tell him your really Albanian and my grandfather from San Lorenzo was a true Italian .San Lorenzo is at the gateway to Pollino park and also the famous Ragonello canyon

I disagree with you! I think it is a very nice town. I would be happy to stay there longer. It is great. I am hoping to get some time walking in the Pollino mountains soon! You write English very well. Best wishes from Lublin, Poland!

George, I suspect it may be a bit difficult to find your cousin Giuseppe!
@VanlifewithAlan11 жыл бұрын
Thanks George - I will let you know when I get there again. I find it very interesting to know that the town was founded by escaped slaves. Spartacus attempted to escape to Sicily where there had already been slave revolts so it is logical that people would stay in isolated areas like this where they were relatively free from harrassment by the Romans authorities.
