Excellent work. I was so young at the time this series was aired. I remember the whole family sitting in front of the tv watching this drama.. occasionally tears rolled down at heart wrenching parts played out so well including the little girl.

I just bought the DVD from Speedy (Malaysia) last week! OMG.. watching this series makes me feel so old.. I was only 7 when I first saw it back in 1992.. Time passes so fast.. >_< Really like the chemistry between Shi Wei & Qing Qing! Too bad they never worked together again after this... I heard some rumors that Qiong Yao actually wanted Yue Ling to play the main female role of "Mei Hua Lao".. But didn't know why she ended up playing ghost husband instead...

I saw this drama when I was young and it was dubbed in Vietnamese. It’s taken me about 16 years to find it again because I only knew it as “Thanh Thanh va Tieu Thao” and I don’t know enough Vietnamese to search for it. I know just enough to understand spoken Vietnamese. Then, serendipitously, a Malaysian friend who spoke Mandarin told me it’s actual title translated to English as "Green Green Grass By The River". So happy to have found it again! I'd love to be able to buy it Vietnamese dubbed or with English subtitles.
