I think he cares about not being held accountable or investigated for all these Federal contracts he's failing to deliver on. I suspect that's even bigger than his taxes. Full self driving is a death trap. His Cybertrucks burst into flame if they get wet. His contract with NASA calls for landing men on the Moon, right now, is running about 4 years late. He has secret talks with Putin while selling products to the DoD. He's giving away free Internet to flood victims, while signing them up for premium long term contracts. And much more dodgy crap that needs to be investigated.

The Democratic Party has ALWAYS been the party of systemic political norms, for both parties, since Jackson. It is the foundational party of the 2-party system with primary responsibility for "dealing with the masses" (19th C, settler famers, 20th C, wage workers). They were temporarily "the party of social progress", 1935-1975 because the GOP dropped that role after Hoover. As US capitalism ceased to be an engine of "progress" in the 1970's, the GOP became "the party of social regress" and the Democrats followed behind, maintaining the political norms and limits as before. Offered to explain why the Democrats are incapable of being a "party of progress", now or in the future. Because US capitalism is in decay.

Dissatisfied in AOC’s answer, her long term strategy isn’t working, history has shown us progressive power within the Democrats is dwindling, we are not gaming power since AOC got into office. So what is the point of not being very adversarial with the Democrats? At what point will AOC realize a dirty break needs to happen with the Democrats? The Democrats are our class enemy, the Democrats or the class enemy of working class people so why is AOC still choosing to caucus with them and tell us there is potential within the Democratic Party to help working in class people get the change we deserve.
