I don't normally find speed runs interesting but I'm loving this series and I finally figured out why, it's the fact that GTA speedrunning relies on optimized gameplay and not just using glitches to skip 75% of the game

yes! i think thats why i got into it too. the few glitches it does use are pretty obvious and funny sometimes too.

If you're into action games DMC speedruns are nothing but optimal play with one glitch amongst all of the games speedruned. There are a few skips here and there but it's all just smart use of moves which is arguably intended.

Probably not. I do not currently have plans to run GTAV's 100% category. Much of the run is spent warping around in taxi's instead of driving, which also means lots of time in laggy menus, as well as im not a huge fan of the vagueness of the run's goals. As well, 10 hours of focus is a bit beyond my enjoyment level for streams
