Dang I’m motivated after seeing this! Makes me want to go through my packs then hit the sim while they recharge! I’m by an older (44) beginner to fpv (start was May 2024) and now waiting parts for my 5th drone for a first time build 🤷🏼‍♂️ This might turn out to be a corvetteless mid life crisis for me. Now I have to acquire the hdzero and get a couple tiny quads for indoor this winter 🤔

Very nice flying! Footage looks great too. When flying hdz for a while and then going back to DJI it feels so incredible sluggish. Too bad about the penetration. But for spots that dont need a lot of penetration and dont have much scraggle, HDZ is so much more fun than DJI for me.

YES!! I'm glad you tried HDzero again! Your flying is already 'on the edge' but with HDzero it's even more, like 'over the edge'....! 😁 The 2 videos you made before with HDzero are still my favorites till this day because of that. For the viewer it's great but I get it you rather fly DJI for a better pilot experience. In the end I think that's most important, do what you like best and keep flying!!!

That rip was TOUGH (as my kids would say)! Idk how your quad is so locked with those props. Mine feels loose (like sliding in turns similar to ice skating) with my current tune. I feel like today’s video was more aggressive than usual. All smiles from me brother! 😊

Does the 03 system transmit audio to goggles....i still have vistas on everything but now building a djinn and trying to see if i get audio if i buy a 03 for it...i like hearing motor noises and miss it....thats why i still have a coupke analog quads for beating on as well😂

Nah it doesn’t unfortunately. Only DJI product that transmits audio is hacked og air unit

Dude you totally flew differently with HDZ, and I think that more "erratic" describes the change perfectly. Im not sure if that is actually the lower latency though, or just you flying more aggressively because you know you have lower latency to save you. Would be interesting to see you try and fly just as aggressively on the 03 unit, and see what happens?

I’d say 50/50 on placebo and latency. In does in fact feel quite smoother whereas switching back to DJI it’ll feel choppy. Also my brain is trying to find any sense of delay in the system so that’s why I fly so erratically lol

Super Sick! I already got the F5 Split but want a Quad for freestyle only. Do you know if I could change the ESC+FC without changing your PID? And also the motors? I want to build it as cheap as possible because I am going to crash this thing everytime because that’s what I am building it for. Also have you tried the Gemfan Hurricane? I got 8 packs of them and would use them

If you’re using the same frame, the PID tune should be fine. Unless you’re using an f4 processor, then don’t touch the gyro lowpass filters.

This guy is my favorite pilot, and his HDZ videos are my favorite. I'm very picky about the style of flying that i like. I don't care about flow or smoothness, I like abruptness, and those videos are the fastest and twitchiest, makes me want to go out and fly. So I do notice a difference

da dilettante che sono io che capisco poco o nulla, per il tuo pilotare in modo cosi' aggressivo la bassa latenza e' la via migliore, perche' un cervello che fa correzioni cosi' rapide elabora in Analogico o HdZero, questo lo si vede in altri POCHI perche' siete pochi, gli altri a paragone vostro non sembrano neanche freestyle ma flow, dicevo altri piloti che viaggiano forte come te, quando vogliono fare sul serio sono su Analogico .. Walksnail e DJI sono come le nostre TV Digitali dove spesso l'immagine si blocca poi un certo punto schermo nero e bum :D
