Sister Jane is an excellent Charge Nurse and this compliment is coming from a retired charge nurse from the U.S.A.

I can’t imagine how freeing it must be to go to the emergency room and just let them do everything that they think is necessary without mentally trying to add up how much each procedure and medicine is going to cost me while I’m laying on the bed and bleeding everywhere. Medical costs in the US are beyond out of control.

I'm in Australia but in contact with friends in the USA. Some of their stories regarding your medical costs have broken my heart and I'm very grateful that us Aussies can rely on our system to protect us from the costs and all we need to do is focus on getting well ❣

From all the videos of A & E departments online now, it is apparent that Britain desperately needs additional hospitals! Or create stand-alone "Minors" departments and turn the A&Es into only majors departments. They are drowning now. The really long waits patients have for "minors" is ridiculous.

It's the same in America (except your care costs thousands)

I thy it's so sad that dental care is not a priority with these patients. Even sadder if it is because of cost.

The used to call Britain " The land that orthodontics forgot." Note that the younger people's teeth look a lot better.

With such good medical care, why isn't there equally good dental care in the UK?

A 7 hr wait in the emergency room? That's absurd!!! Is this what socialized medicine looks like? Someone could die by then!!

I live in the USA. Our ER often has 8 hour waits. The staff is so much nicer in this show.

It's a different form of address in the UK. They're referred to as nursing sisters.

Some of the earliest nurses were religious nuns called Sisters.
