i love how everyone one at the hospital is like let the gays be
@missourigreen0516 жыл бұрын
In America it's the exact opposite. In America they would be okay with a homophobic relative see the patient and not care if that relative tries to make that patient feel bad, but hospital would act with extreme tension in not letting the gay person see their same sex lover. I have heard there are other countries outside of America that are far ahead when it comes to gay acceptance. I like that the hospital staff have the common sense to know that a gay lover is more of a comfort to a gay patient than a biological parent(we don't choose our parents) who has the potential to be homophobic.
@wonders.l38546 жыл бұрын
missourigreen051 not really, I live in America too but not all hospitals are homophobic. If the hospital is homophobic it’s probably some of the people working in the hospital. If they are rude to a homosexual then they could get fired because it’s not their place to say how they feel about that matter. But I do see where you’re coming from, and sadly it is true that some people would deny a couple to see their spouse because they are the same gender, it’s rare though.
@honeysana6726 жыл бұрын
missourigreen051 most dont care, ive been to the hospital multiple times. theyve asked me about my sexuality before, and when i told them, they continued the questions as normal. if its a good hospital, they are focused on health, not their beliefs.

On Another US Soap Kyle and Oliver aka Fish move to Toronto, Ontario to start a new life. Right now with Four Soaps on US TV, I don't know of any Gay/Lesbian Storylines except a minor one on General Hospital and A Trans Character on The Bold & The Beautiful.

Dad was "old school" maybe from a different culture, but he wised up and accepted his son as gay. I spent 2 months in a hospital and during one week of that I made friends with my rehab unit (yes the entire unit) I had 5 boys on my unit with boyfriends (including me) all of us had parents or close relatives that hated that and essentially made this scenario a reality. I saw one parent hit their son’s boyfriend because they were so infuriated. It’s very sad that this kind of thing happens which is why we all need to do our part to stop it from happening.

The quality of the casting, the acting, the direction of the script, makes this vignette so believable: the affection between the two guys, their chemistry, their tension, is an ideal role model. The female MD is a weak link: prissy, arrogant, failure to assert appropriate authority, making the dx of Marfans Syn before confirming tests, to a parent and patient, is poor medicine: rattling off the characteristics of the syndrome like tonight's shopping list for dinner is poorly scripted, crass in comparison to the father's incisive acting. The MD is as obsessive and controlling and arrogant in her role, as the father is superb in his. The adorable, tender, polished and restrained boyfriend is a plus, a plus for anyone to have such a warm, devoted, and strong -willed lover...if they weren't dating before they did this clip, they should be now.
