Hello, Jay. This is not a success story. I scored less than 60% on the CAT 2023 exam. But I just want to share my tale. I'm from a pure science background, and the last time I studied math was in 10th grade. I began my CAT preparation in February, like you, but in 2023. Initially, I used to spend 1 hour, 30 minutes, or less on quant since I felt dumb doing it, but I did it every day without fail and scored > 70% in quant in finals. Because I lost every basic concept I learned in school, I had to start from scratch for CAT preparation. I felt the same way you did when you remarked "There was no progress". Initially, I started with averages, and it took me two months to get comfortable with the notion. I started Percentages in April, and it took another month for me to have a little confidence in them. I used to think every day that I was going nowhere. But in May, I finished Allegations, Mixtures, and Ratios along with that i've increased my no.of hours for prep. And over the next few months, I learned and practiced the other arithmetic topics. By September, I had just learned and practiced Arithmetic, nothing else. But I only have two months left. Because I'm a slow learner in quant, I didn't want to start any new concepts because it would take another month and leave me with less time for revision. So I began my revision and began delivering mocks every week. I never received more than 60% on my mocks, but I was able to answer the questions using the concepts that I'd learned over the last few months. I used to get -ve marks marks and single digit percentiles during my Feb and March prep time. But by the time it's September my percentile used to be 40-50 on an average. Still I used to feel stupid that I was not getting 90+%ile like the toppers. It took me really some time to appreciate myself for what I've done in those past few months. It may not look fancy or enough to see 40-50%ile for others but I've started from zero and I was able to reach a half way if I can call. So, in terms of progress, I'd like to tell you one thing . Sometimes it takes a long time to sense progress. Even if the development is there, we may not be able to perceive it since it is in small amounts, but I am confident that if we continue to practice discipline, those negligible amounts of progress will combine and become significant. You are two months into your CAT preparation, so it's reasonable to feel this way. However, you can consistently take control over this situation. Clear your concepts first and set realistic targets considering your situation and availability of time and practice more than 60 problems in LOD I and LOD II at first (10 problems in a day or 50-60 problems in a week) . You surely will be able to see progress. You will learn to love doing quant. NEVER GIVE UP

To join coaching daily how much hours and what will be the division of hours according to subject. Being a working person how can I manage the time how much time should I devote and how.
