A friend of mine has 2 299D3 skid loaders and I'm glad to see CAT has finally changed the location of the stereo. The stereo in my friends loaders look like the location was an after thought LOL. I've always run Bobcat and the biggest hang up for me when running his CAT's is the room in the cab, he even has said a Bobcat cab on a CAT skid steer would be the best combination so it's nice to see CAT finally come out with a bigger cab!
@ironman34069 ай бұрын
The radio was absolutely an afterthought when the cab design came out on the C series radios were kind of just becoming a thing in skid steers, so they found room where they could until a new cab was designed. The cab is really nice on this new series. Thanks for watching

Very nice skid steer with great 👍 upgrades from CAT. I love the two way throttle system. The joy stick volume control is just like a vehicle on steering wheel 😊 the monitor with all the different settings ( especially the tracking straight adjustment) is outstanding 😊 I love the big yet start button 😊 none of the KEY start with dirt getting in key hole. Very advanced design skid steer production line CAT equipment 😊

Great video. I’ve got a fully loaded 255 that’s being built the first week of may. I’ve got a D3 now and didn’t realize how many upgrades I would be getting until your video. Mine has the T5 tech package which says it will have two side cameras as well, I can’t find any videos of that online anywhere.

Dude!! That’s awesome I’m stoked for you to have one of the new units, far as I could tell they have made some awesome upgrades and improvements from the D3’s. I don’t know much more than you regarding the T5 tech package, but you might find even more things that are above and beyond the one that I was on in this video. Cheers and enjoy when you get it thanks for watching!

@bert26a9 ай бұрын
Do they still have that lousy suspension system where as soon as the bucket has any load in it the machine pitches down. I hated loading trucks with the 239 and 249 because it would bounce when you are raising the arms to load into a truck.

@ironman3406 I dunno. They probably measure a machined that is spec'd to perform as well as possible, just like Cat. Does Cat list a bucket roll back angle? That's something that the old 259d and 236d I used to run suffered from not having enough of.

It's insane to make a machine with a swing out door. That's a deal breaker for me. For a multitude of reasons.
@ironman34068 ай бұрын
You’ve clearly never put your head through the glass of a door that’s open over your head, you lose significant head room when those doors are open. And personally I don’t like getting out of the cab with the loader in the air unless is safely locked up - thats always the reason I hear “I need to be able To get out with the loader raised” well then buy a loader - such an unsafe way to think.
@scottmcquarrie72958 ай бұрын
@@ironman3406 , it's your opinion, but I still don't like looking through glass to work if I don't have to. You like it, God bless you, I don't. Snow plowing fine. I never did any mulching with a skid steer, but if I did, I'd probably want a heavy duty window, other than that, forget about it.
@brockmanoutdoorservicesinc16237 ай бұрын
I have a 7x12 14K rated dump trailer and sometimes need to move the skid in it. In order to fit with the doors closed I have to raise the bucket. So with a swing out door I can't do this but with my Kubota I can.

Whoa there just calm down, these are still prototype machines being tested and working out bugs, they don’t go into full production until mid summer. They don’t hide the fuel burn data on any of the other product families, so I’m positive that when they are in full production that glitch will have been sorted out. Believe it or not some people do like to know how much fuel their operators are burning. I’m curious why you have such a hate for Cat?

Declaring the end of your comment like it is some kind of written in stone fact show not only your level of incompetence but your underlying small man syndrome that makes you feel some need to overstate.
