That Cat is also 3 years older and shouldn't you be comparing that 308 to an vio80? Also the SV100 to the 310 might really be the match up that should be here.

That cat 308 and sv100 weigh about the same but around 21000lbs

I work for a yanmar dealer and will say I’m impressed by yanmars build quality. In the 3 years I’ve worked on yanmar equipment I’ve never seen an engine failure yet nor pump failure that hasn’t been the fault of the operator.
