These are the best track loaders that CAT ever made. Mine has 14,000 hours on it and has never had a major repair. The biggest repair we’ve had was a radiator and a drive motor seal (duct work wire got wrapped up in it and busted the seal) I know guys who can make roads and pads look like it was done by a dozer with these things. I absolutely love the 953B..They had one of best motors CAT ever made and they’re super easy to work on. Plus, I actually like the twin sticks.
@fulltiltgrading83662 жыл бұрын
I agree. I have only replaced a couple of hoses and the undercarriage on mine. Unfortunately I have a single stick control but have the two stick on my 963A witch I prefer. I love those loaders! Thanks for watching 👍🏻

I spent a lot of time as a kid riding on my dad‘s lap as well! It taught me a lot because I got to feel what the machine was doing while he was operating it. It helped a lot when I got in the seat to know what to do and when. Thanks for watching Steve👍🏻

I agree with you! We still have our 87’ 963 and that thing is a beast! They are expensive to run maybe that’s why we don’t see them as much. I still enjoy running them every chance I get! Thanks for watching and supporting our channel 👍🏻
@tommyw.94242 жыл бұрын
I really like the old 963 model. I would say that compared to something like a 953C they are a tad underpowered for their size, but you can't beat the reliability and starting ability of the 3304 engine. Very smooth on the controls too, they have very nicely spaced 2 stick bucket levers.
@jacobknuts3 жыл бұрын
Nice machine. 953's are my favorite machine. So versatile. But they are expensive to run.
@fulltiltgrading83663 жыл бұрын
They are one of my favorite machines also. I ran this machine a lot for a few years and it held up really well. They like to burn a lot of fuel and the undercarriage does get expensive to replace. Thanks for watching Jacob👍🏻

Because they were 20k cheaper than the 953 at the time. I was happy to have anything new but always told myself that someday I would get one. I bought it in 08’ and always love running it! Thanks for watching buddy 👍🏻

@coltongarber80873 жыл бұрын
Why is the 953 getting parked for another 3 years?
@fulltiltgrading83663 жыл бұрын
The type of work that I do now with the cell towers I really don’t have too much need for it. Most everything I do is mini excavator and skid steer‘s. I can put 10 gallons of fuel in a mini excavator and run all day and make more money then I can with the 953. I do love that machine and that’s why I still keep it just in case there’s a time I need it. Thanks for watching Colton👍🏻

@@michaelkramer8417 A 20 ton tagalong trailer will haul the 953 behind a tandem dump truck. We move this one with a tri-axle and a 20 ton eager beaver trailer. Yeah I’m thinking it would cost me at least 50,000 to replace mine. You can’t even get a decent skid loader used for 50 K.
