I officially am a cat mom! I adopted my very first pet! Meet Suki (好き) Nagini, she is a Russian Blue cat 11 months old today & she is just a ball of cuteness! I take you guys with me throughout the entire adoption process.

I love Suki. I had a Russian Blue named Ashley for 17 years. Best cat I ever had. Was never destructive, so loving, and smart. I would say " Ashley do coffee?" and she would wait by the coffee maker for me to make my morning cup. Then she would jump up on my lap and sit as I drank the coffee. I miss her ever day. 💗

I adopted a Russian Blue myself, just a few days ago. Great idea on the IG account. The ladies I was in contact with didn't really know much about Shinju, I renamed her from Sarah, other than she's extremely traumatized from being abandoned by the original owners and was slightly feral for the first several months of her life. She was fed by neighbors until she could be caught and one of them brought her to Ruby Whiskers Animal Shelter, where I adopted her. She's slllloooowwwwlllllyyyy coming out of her shell only to retreat back inside herself. I don't think she knows what to make of being in a foster home, nearly considered unadoptable, only to be adopted by weird little me. I'm content with giving her space and letting her come to me. I don't really fuss over her too much, just kind of taking things at her pace. Letting her getting used to the ambience and routine of my apartment. She is very lovable when she wants to be. I love her with all my heart. In time, I think she will know this. Wish me luck!

I too ended up with a Russian Blue furbaby (my youngest daughter begged and begged me for weeks!) I already had a cat, so I was quite indecisive for a bit. I am so glad I did, because Harry is a really easy cat to live with, he is not a lap-cat (this is apparently typical behaviour for this breed) being independent. Harry is twelve now, by the way and I live in his house! The most easy-going and noninvasive cat I have ever owned, perfect.♥️

Suki looks like such a sweet cat! I have two cats (brothers), and I absolutely love cherish, and adore them both. They were sweeter to me after my wife of 25 years passed away from cancer on Dec, 2020. It's like they sensed something wrong and we bonded even tighter than before. They are always where I am, and get lots of attention and loving from me. I wish you many good years with Suki! 😍😍😍❤❤❤

But now we finally found good products that she likes so thank goodness! Having a cat is definitely a lot of work, but it’s worth it honestly! 💜

Russian Blue cats are great… Your cat is a "Lilac" Russian Blue. One of my favorite cats was a Russian Blue named "Boris"… I now have a Bombay...

@@aeko_garden His name is "Cosmo" and he was a gift.. They are bred from a sable Burmese and a Black cat ( The reason I stated it that way, is because in Britain there is a "British Bombay" with a flatter, more rounded face). They are very sweet, demand attention and mine is obsessive. He wakes me up at 5:30 for his "wet breakfast" and then wakes me up at 11:00 for his morning "spa treatment". He was brushed with a "Kent" bristle brush, but he likes a dampened flea comb ( no he does no go out and does not have fleas ), but he loves about 5 mins. of a combing. This is actually good because his coat stays so shiny and slick looking. Plus, he purrs like crazy while being combed. He watches intently while I clean his water containers ( He has a crystal glass on the table and a little bowl near his food ). He will then play a game of drinking from the bathroom sink, tub or sometimes kitchen sink. They can be very sensitive, all I need to say is "bad" in the right tone and he will go under my bed and sulk.. He was starting to play a game of refusing his canned wet food unless I would open another, and I had to nip that expensive habit in the bud.. They will sleep with you and they are the most cuddly. although my favorite Russian Blue ( Boris ) often slept with me. There are only perhaps 12 or so breeders in the U.S. that sell them, and mine is a "Non Show Quality", he has a little white patch under his neck and the breeder sold him for $700-800 ( show quality will sell for $4,500.00 or so). I am quite happy with a "non show quality" and he is still quite the "looker". They live quite long and of course, should never go outside. Mine is not a "hunter" of any sort and will not even kill a cricket. He would probably adopt a mouse as a pet if he found one. It's a rough call, my Russian Blue cats were funny, and "Boris" would scale the walls to do his acrobatic feats, which were so funny. He would cling to screen doors and always get into antics. My daughter that 15 has a gray blue cat like yours but if you put him in the sun you can see spots on his sides and on his leg is stripes like hiding under his very plush gray fur. I have his 2 sisters as well one is a spotted tabby the other is a striped tabby.

Wow! Suki adjusted so well! With my cats Sesame and Checker they were hiding and was super shy, but after a couple days they started to warm up. We also have the same water fountain! And they love it👍🏼. Hope everybody is safe & healthy!💕💕💕

Broth works better than water to hydrate cats. It saved my cats life. Pet food stored should carry it in cans. My cat loves it. :) If you move slowly and are not loud it might have been you why your cat didn't hide.

Hi Jasleen! We actually flew with Suki not that long ago. It was a domestic flight - 1hr 30 mins. She did ok! But for you if it’s international I would ask your vet, depending how long the flight is your pet might need something. I’ll post a video soon about our flying experience if you want to know more!

I think your cat may be a Korat, not a Russian blue. The two are often mistaken for one another, but yours shares a similar face, nose, coat, and eye color to a korat

when you say that there is nothing wrong with purchasing a animal, you are 1,000,000 % wrong, it is never ok with purchasing one from a store, it is only acceptable to adopt one from a shelter, because pet stores onlyy care about the money, where as a sheter takes the time to find the right home for each animal, also shelters will have the animal spayed/nuttered where as a store won't do that.
