Cat® Augers Overview

I have an A7B auger attached to my Cat 301.7D CR. I have read the operations manual and reviewed the web on which way to attach the auger. I think it operates best with the hydraulic hoses inside the boom. You have mounted the auger drive with the hoses on the outside, is this the correct way? If so, your hoses can get damaged and your can't control the drive articulation when moving or laying the implement down. Feedback please!

Great question, Paul! The lines can face in or out, as long as they are long enough to allow for full movement of the auger.

i curious for my old cat 303cr. engine 26hp. pump 2x 8gpm @3500psi. my calc for 16gpm @3500 need 30hp+. Then, I am about to buy auger drive, which drive capasity is suitable?
