Yes thanks for going the next step further to explain how the ears work, I knitted my first square beanies for my 2 granddaughter’s a few years back and I was amazed how predominant The ears were when beanie was pulled down on the head, looked exactly like your’s ❤ thanks again 😊

Wonderful! Did you do it in double layer also with one rounded side or just a square like in crochet?

@@morgandelondon knitted long rectangle and then folded in half and sewed the sides together which made the beanie form a square shape, put on head, pull down and wallah!!! two ears in each corner….purrrrrrfect🤗

@@morgandelondon just a square but knitted instead.

For a cat beanie this is what I do, after I knit the rows that I need I continue knitting with scrap yarn around 5 rows then I removed it from the machine, I cinch one side ant the side where the scrap yarn is I do Kitchener stitch then remove the scrap yarn and that’s the side for the ears, the cinch side goes inside.

I just went to watch a tutorial about the kitchener stitch as I didn't know it. That sounds good! Is it easy to work on from the scrap yarn? And let me know if you make a tutorial someday. I'll be happy to try it

Your video doesn’t really show how to make the errors part of the cat hat. Your end result shows very prominent styled ears. I wanted to know if you had a tutorial that shows how you made the ears

I will record one but the ears simply appear when you put the beanie on as one side is rounded so it pulls the ears out on the square side. Then I do style by pulling them by hand to the side a little. It depends on the yarn.

I recorded this video to show you the cat ears. Hope this helps. kzbin.infovuVDQL5OiXo?si=crqj1P09S2nABm-1

Hello! Really liked your vídeo. Just have one question: the waste yarn, that is removed later on, is really necessary? If I just start from the actual rows that will be used the sewing process won't work properly?
@morgandelondon5 ай бұрын
The waste yarn is necessary as you're not doing a classic closing but you must crochet the round tube as a flat square. It allows you to see the loops you need to crochet contrasted and keep the whole project from unravelling. It also helps the crochet to be regular without making holes in the sewing (hoping I managed to explain it?)
