Mama said is how I found her!! And it WAS my favorite...but then i mean the soul in Cat s singing is amazing!! Wow! I love when you can FEEL the music...and more than just the beat...the soul pour into it. This song is so beautiful!! The appreciation of the world and nature! I connect so much bc I grew up by a river!! I listen to cat while im out in nature...one with nature...and walk by the river and sing with her!!! I love her music!! Such a beautiful voice and soul!! Don't look for the Genre nowadays. People mix everything up and everybody must give something a name when it doesn't fits their view of the world (or in this case genre). Better to look for similar artist. If you like her then maybe also Sierra Ferrel (incredible voice that sounds like "Vinyl"), Benjamin Tod, Lost Dog Street Band etc. Just look for the Channel "GemsOnVHS". For me it's country. For others Indie, folk etc. Have fun while trying out those artists.
