I’ve seen them actually so we needed to seclude them in a very quiet place and only a few people the rabbit mom knew can take care of them. And strangers could not look at the rabbit or her babies. Not cats. Cats are predatory animals. They would keep their kittens separately for weeks from the rest of the cat family and even a father cat until old enough and they move the kittens every few days but they don’t consume their own babies.

I am sure that they are also going to get smaller over time or just hold more info & ability than is already the case. People tend to base every standard on humans - even when considering things not human & therefore often get it wrong. They are not open to the idea that there are other ways & means out there & building a mental wall to other considerations makes the human not reach his or her potential - & it IS said by those who study this that we as humans DON'T come anywhere close to using our own capabilities. I have ALSO heard that cats can heal themselves with their purrs - something to do with the frequency of their purrs. I find this fascinating! It seems pretty obvious that they can't ALWAYS heal themselves as my vet bills would have been much smaller if this was the case! I had always meant to ask my cats' vet about this before though, but never did. Sadly my cats have passed on now so I don't see the vet (& I am not in a position to have anymore cats right now.) Kitties are such natural comforters❣️I sure miss my little all- black Beebee, who would crawl up under the lap blanket I used, when taking a nap, curl up behind my back and purr❣️She would come to me, too, when I cried from my sad, broken heart, and the great and constant physical pain I have endured for so long. When I was a kid a family friend had a young cat that was a first time mother and didn't know how to take care of her newborns. During the birthing process our dog (who just had a litter herself) came up and cleaned the kittens up and nursed them so that the mother could see it. She then took the babies to the mother who proceeded to nurse her babies. It was one of the most amazing things I have ever seen. She lived up to her name "Sugar" that day. She was such a sweetheart.

If I recall correctly, neutered males in particular seem to be very quick to appoint themselves as surrogate uncles, though it’s not limited to neutered males. There was also a rescued elderly feral named Mason who went viral for appointing himself the caretaker for all of the foster kittens in his adopted family’s home. He cleaned them, stopped them from roaming places they shouldn’t, played with them, disciplined them, taught them how to properly behave like cats, etc. Cats in general tend to be way more social than humans give them credit for.
